Apple's 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus seems to be more fragile than you'd expect. The device's ultra-thin aluminum body can be bent easily...

Now that's real talk bro. Carrying a phone in skinny jeans is for chicks +1. My wife's a small woman, 5'3" 125lbs, and doesn't carry her 6+ in her pocket. It's cased and in her purse. When I wanna look at mine naked, I do it at home, on the table or bed. I've seen too many cracked screens on phones period to floss it caseless.

This is why other companies build their devices relatively solidly in the first place (HTC) or use magnesium in their internal frames(Samsung)

Even 6 feels bit to fragile to me. I was holding it today in shop and it feels bit strange and almost to light but I was thinking that I am not used to it. Previous models where more like little tanks but 6 is opposite.

FYI the standard 4.7" iPhone 6 is also confirmed to bend when carried in tight jeans. Good job Apple.

Just checked a returned Iphone 6+ from our inventory. It was bent at the volume button.

Why did you take it back? I've already refused two returns. The device was fine when it left the store, their beef is with apple, not the retailer. I refuse to take a charge back on a damaged return. Your prerogative though.

I don't process exchanges. I am a tech.I just fix stuff. All of the 6+ we sold have been returned or exchanged for a 6 lol.

The problems with the iPhone 6+ have are similar to the original Galaxy Note when it comes to trying to perfect its phablet after years of "Apple People" screaming for it...........but this is a major issue because people are going to be pissed if they're iPhone ends up like that.

I tried very hard to bend both my plastic Note II and Note 3 (it would've given me a nice excuse to buy the Note 4). FAILED miserably.

As for the tank-like 'plastic' Nokia N9 and Lumia 1520, I didn't even try.

I don't understand this fascination with using tinny metals to make phones with.

Wonder how this will affect bloggers interpretation of premium build? This will be known as "fail of the year" for phones. Apple PR is going to have a field day. Worst thing since the antenna issue amd apple maps. Losing my trust in apple quality

Could possibly be why the HTC One (Max) had a curved back to fit the internals w/o sacrificing structural rigidity.

Nobody buys this phone BRICK , so to put it in pocket , and test it.
But you could watch this video about the "premium aluminium" tin can:
