It seems that the iPhone will probably be the hit we expected it to be - the researches are already showing that more than 500 000 units of the phone have been sold, although the relatively high price (when compared to other phones offered by the US carriers) - $499.99 and $599.99 (with two-year contract to AT&T) for respectively the 4GB and 8GB versions. This shows how highly the phone is desired by huge amount of customers, and how the fans will not stop in front of either the "high" price tag or the waiting in the lines around the shop, just to get it as fast as possible.

Days before and after the iPhone's launch, many sites quoted "what the iPhone lacks or cannot do" but that is not the most important thing. The iPhone is not the most advanced phone on the market, but is probably the only one that is a reason for waiting lines in front of the stores. And it is not because of low price, it is because the fan's love. Apple iPhone managed to grab the attention and create huge group of lovers and haters. But the facts cannot be questioned - half million sold units for a weekend is a great success for both Apple and AT&T.

If you still haven't got one but want to, don't forget to check Apple's site for shop's availability information. If you are not sure if the device is worth it, please check our preview of the iPhone by clicking here. Expect the full in-depth review really soon.
