No, that would be Siri. Really overhyped, doesn't work nearly as advertised, and is a silly idea anyway.

Typical android sheep bringing Siri into the conversation when nobody brought it up. Go away bro.

Is that shame I picked up in your comment? Oh my lord, an iWhore feels ashamed. Guess what, this post is primarily for Android lovers, not you iWhores, so if anyone should go away, it is your ultra expensive iWhore butt.

First of all, we all know that MP's aren't everything anymore. other aspects of the camera hardware end up being more important once the MP's are good. Lets say, however, that this 13MP shooter has the rest of its hardware relatively perfect for its MP count. That means that its pictures should be astonishingly better than the current gens 8MP shooters. As MP's increase, so does the required quality of the rest of a cameras hardware. MP's without good hardware, and likewise, Good hardware without MP's will soon reach a cap in the level of quality in can provide without a MP bump. Assuming that this rumor holds any truth, and this 13MP shooter has the right hardware for the MP count, I'm seriously looking forward to this device.

Go buy yourself an 808 pureview. With 360x640 screen resolution, 184 ppi, single core and a sluggish OS. Then take a 41mp picture of your self naked with your d**k highlighted and post it on a billboard.

SGS3 will still be better than the iPhone 6 lol
103. OSUTIN posted on 27 Nov 2012, 18:55 0 0
Or 5S. Probably 5S, not 6. Either way, it will be better than the 2 next iPhones, with absolutely no doubt.
10. baldilocks posted on 21 Nov 2012, 02:53 7 0
Now if they could just get their build quality in line with their internal specs...

Can you say Power! I love that phrase Max! nice reporting.

And iPhone 6 will have an extra row of icons. Ha ha ha! :p

Quad core 2Ghz A15 and Octa core Mali 658 GPU in a phone now ?
Come on guys, that would mean more power than your average desktop.
Let's be real, this kind of specs are possible in a phone only with 14nm manufacturing process.

I dont mind the polycarbonate plastic thingy as long as it gives a metallic look. Good thing is that its light, stronger than plastic and same color inside out so that scratches dont stand out. So, I think its still better than metal.
Just that sammy need to improve the color schemes, texture and come up with some innovative design to make the phone stand out and give it a premium feel.
21. RORYREVOLUTION posted on 21 Nov 2012, 03:34 1 0
Put in a 3000+ mAh removable battery and DAAAAAAAMN!!!
24. sadiqhashim posted on 21 Nov 2012, 03:45 1 1
I am begging Sammy from the bottom of my heart, please don't use cheap plastic again on this one.
26. JusMePnut posted on 21 Nov 2012, 03:52 0 0
That jus sounds too good to be true. I'll stuck with Nexus for now...
(Keeping fingers crossed tho)

OK, I use Android, but... isn't 5 inches too big; even my 4.3 is on the limit of bulkiness? And I doubt a 13 Megas sensor in a thin boy (read "no optics") will be something to wow about. Really, I also don't get the quad core - surely even half core can run calling and SMS, and 2 is more than enough for games.
91. iDroid8 posted on 25 Nov 2012, 23:35 0 0
and thats why most of the quad-core chipsets have a fifth power saving core, runiing at a lower clock speed for such tasks
the whole of the smartphone is powered up only when, say, you play a graphic intensive game or such

i just bought my S III on August :s
When this monster appear, nobody will want to know the S III :(
73. ilia1986 posted on 21 Nov 2012, 14:40 0 0
Bollocks. I bought the S3 in September. Remember that this is Android! As long as the hardware is capable - you can get the latest bells and whistles via custom mods years after the end of the official support cycle.
Love your device as I love mine. Besides TBH, 5" is way too big of a screen for me to use anyway.
38. ogy_dogy posted on 21 Nov 2012, 04:52 2 0
5 inch display? All the other specs are awesome, but 5 inches, too large for my pockets, an only slightly smaller than my tablet :-\
44. fistigons posted on 21 Nov 2012, 05:20 0 0
Earlier rumors said it would have the same footprint as the s3 but with a larger display. If they took away the bezel I'm sure that's a possibility.
64. ogy_dogy posted on 21 Nov 2012, 10:41 0 0
That would be cool, though no bezzel creates poreblems of its own... lets just see how this plays out...
104. OSUTIN posted on 27 Nov 2012, 19:05 0 0
first of all, while I get that a lot of people are in a slight panic over the 4.99" screen size, it is very possible that Samsung will trim down a lot of the excess stuff. And, also believe it or not, a device with this size display could technically be made smaller than the S3, and just slightly bigger than the S2. I would know, because I've designed a device with a 4.95" display. The device, as a whole, is almost identical in size to the S2. Now, based on the fact that the rumored display for the S4 is just 0.04" larger than the display on my device, that means, taking into account the almost guaranteed area for physical buttons, that this device could be just a little wider than the S2, and closer in height to the S3. While I can almost guarantee that it isn't likely that Samsung would trim this much off of the device, it would be extremely easy for them to make it the exact same size as the S3. So stop worrying.
45. darac posted on 21 Nov 2012, 05:30 0 1
You are so unimaginative!
Fact is a 5 inch screen can fit in even smaller frame than the current s3.
Upcoming Sony phone will have 5 inch screen and be half a centimeter shorter than the Galaxy s3
39. kpfirefighter posted on 21 Nov 2012, 04:55 1 0
It will be a nice phone but something better will come out soon after. I've always said these phone companies will not build the ultimate phone cause sales would come to a stop. But the s4 is a beast! And I'm sure will come with android 5.0. If only HTC would have taken notes the DNA could have been almost just as good.
46. sthashilan07 posted on 21 Nov 2012, 05:43 1 1
a 5 inch display :-O i thnk its too much for a smart phone..better it should be called as tablet >.< but can't wait to see wat it will be like, ,may be my nxt phone
105. OSUTIN posted on 27 Nov 2012, 19:10 0 0
5" is too small to be a [functional] tablet. besides, as I posted on the previous page, it is technically possible for Samsung, if they really wanted to, to design this device with its large screen in a size that is almost identical to that of the S2.
48. kpfirefighter posted on 21 Nov 2012, 06:14 1 0
I think it depends on your preference. Screen size is what it is. I loved my old note because you didn't have to turn the phone sideways to read websites or to text comments on this site. On my s3 I have found more often that I use the screen rotation and it bugs the s**t out of me if I forget to turn it off. I love the bigger screens. I hope the s4 comes with a 5.3" than for "Me" it would be the perfect device. Until it gave me brain cancer with all that high tech s**t in it. Cant be good holding that thing an inch from your brain! Lol.

''The Samsung Galaxy S III is an outstanding handset, still showing great sales, and is a fully capable device by just about any measure'' - PA, this is your opinioin. PLEASE, mark it somewhere, because people can really be mislead. GS3 is a very good device, but for sure not about any measure.
56. lpratas posted on 21 Nov 2012, 08:00 0 0
Perhaps so many hope in the 8-core gpu Mali T658 perhaps may be the Mali 450 MP8. Already that Samsung only use Mali T604 for tablets.
60. cncrim posted on 21 Nov 2012, 09:50 0 0
Add 3000mah batterry to it else the screen will eat all 2100mah, then it more design phone.

If it were to actually release with specs like mentioned in the article that would be amazing. I would feel sorry for apple though, they can't even keep up as it is. Now if Samsung drops a bomb like that (which will be even more devastating then the Note 2). How many lawsuits will they try and scramble to stop the release of that product..Lmao, apparently Apple was a one pony show in mobile division with Steve Jobs, now that he is gone they are doing worse then ever..
There might even be a mass suicide at apple if they see this device at CES..
Google + Samsung FTW ALL DAY LONG BABY!!!!
70. HotCheese4 posted on 21 Nov 2012, 11:39 0 0
While this phone sounds like a beast, any phone that has a 5 inch screen does not deserve my purchase. Size is the same reason I'm even considering buying another phone over a gs3 for my next phone
107. OSUTIN posted on 27 Nov 2012, 19:18 0 0
As much of a Samsung Fanboy as I am, I wouldn't recommend the S3 mini, or any mini Galaxy device, unless it came with all that awesome power in a mini package. Just like the the Note devices are upspecced (processor), monster sized screen versions of their Galaxy S conterparts, the mini devices (because there WILL be more), should be slightly downspecced (processor), smaller sized screen versions of their Galaxy S brethren.
76. desniper9 posted on 21 Nov 2012, 19:17 0 0
They should build two versions of the s4. One with a larger non removable battery but built out of higher quality materials (still has sd card slot). The other one with a smaller removable battery but lower quality materials.
77. InspectorGadget80 posted on 21 Nov 2012, 20:13 0 0
THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING for. Just glad i skipped the GS I-III. wanted a 1080P SCREEN QUAD CORE processor don't care bout speed as long it have SD CARD in it I'll buy it. sucks to own a GALAXY NOTE II, I GS III II now does it
79. ChafedBanana posted on 21 Nov 2012, 22:19 0 0
All that with no mention of battery capacity or it having a removable battery.
108. OSUTIN posted on 27 Nov 2012, 19:23 0 0
Given the trend with all of Samsung's Galaxy devices, the chances of this having a non-removable battery are slim to non, especially since that is a card that they probably love being able to hold above almost all of the competition. Likewise, the chances of it having non-expandable memory are slim to none, considering their history with their Galaxy devices, and the fact that they probably love being able to hold this above almost all the competition, too.

Aww...my contract for my GS3 ends at 2014...why must they release a new phone every year :(
109. OSUTIN posted on 27 Nov 2012, 19:25 0 0
As insane as I felt when the Galaxy S III was unveiled, I recovered my sanity by thinking about the Galaxy S IV. Just think, when you can upgrade, you can get the Galaxy S V, and will be soo happy that they release them on a yearly basis. because you will have s*** that is better than every previous gen, and we will all be jealous of you.
93. desniper9 posted on 27 Nov 2012, 04:45 0 0
They should get Jeremy Clarkson to endorse this bad boy
94. Shino posted on 27 Nov 2012, 08:18 0 1
Pff, they can put 26-core CPU if they want, it will still be a Samsung and one gotta be mad to buy this plastic, having in mind that for the same money you can buy an Apple or a Nokia.
95. Raymond_htc posted on 27 Nov 2012, 08:57 0 0
The rumored specs are too unrealistic. 8 core? maybe.. but 6 core first....
And not 2ghz- thats too extreme- 1.7 Ghz would do good.
Why 4.99 inch screen?? 5.0 inch or 4.8 will do.
96. iDroid8 posted on 27 Nov 2012, 12:46 0 0
8 core is already reality, some chinese company did it
2Ghz, i don't know as given sammy's record their smartphones clockspeed will be kept lower than the competition(SGS2 and SGS3) but will take the lead in performance and benchmarks
n dont youworry about 4.99, even the iphone was said to be coming with a 3.95/3.99" screen so that the pixel density reamains 32-but eventually they pit the whole 4" on it ignoring the difference of 3ppi
110. OSUTIN posted on 27 Nov 2012, 19:42 0 0
a note, assuming that the width of the display on the iPhone 5 is exactly the same as the width on the previous gen iPhone's, then the exact size on the diagonal is 3.96448747425722". Rounded down, it is 3.96" on the diagonal, which falls .04" short of 4". While some may argue that the measurement is too small to make a worthwhile difference, if placed beside a device with the exact same aspect ratio with exactly 4", you would notice it, even if just barely. At least with the S4, assuming that this screen size rumor is correct, it is close enough to 5" to understandably be probably advertised as such.
115. JunitoNH posted on 30 Nov 2012, 16:25 0 0
Not an iPhone fan, but dude seriously? Why do you think they are adding eight cores? The iPhone out bench the S3 almost in every category. These reports confirmed by Anandatech and other tech blogs like The Verge.

i dont understand 5 inch phones. i just got the nexus at 4.7 and its huge. any bigger and i wouldnt be able to use it with one hand, not to mention its already a stretch to tap items at the top of the screen.
