Even with that "rumoured" 8-core GPU and the other hardware speculation, PhoneArena will find some way to tear it to shreds when it compares it to the almighty teeny-tiny iPhone in those special PhoneArena "iPhone vs Everything" articles. I especially love it when they compare screen resolutions under a Hubble Microscope. Or, when they take an indisputably killer device like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and give it a review of "9" because they don't want to admit to the World that there is something on the market better than their Apple trash.

In all benchmarks regarding processor and GPU, screen resolution, thickness, battery, body structure materials and everything else except customization of the OS which is googles' not samsung

and u believe in comparison of cross-platform benchmarks?
recently a nokia lumia with dual core krait cpu clocked at 1.5Ghz outshined optimus G (and hence even s3) which has a quad core variety of same type, running at same speed too
same way i5 got more in quite some benchmarks

I dont know why all those thumbs down are for???
I only said the truth which is everywhere in the media.
Samsung is now a major corp. and have a very big fanbase but, that doesnt mean that we deny the truth saying that i5 is more powerfull than sgs3.. That is a FACT people
I now own a GNote2 and sold my Sgs3 bec. It was lagging so much i couldnt stand it.. Fact too.

GS3 is a great phone
Note 2 is even greater
But haven't we seen this before
New phone every 3 months
New idea every 3 months
And boooom after 3 years u meet the new Nokia
No ideas no creativity
At the moment the future isn't for SAMSUNG GOOGLE OR APPLE
Microst owns the future
Sooner or later every company even apple and Samsung will be releasing windows phones to survive

What were you on when you wrote this? what make's you think that the iphone 5 out-does the GS3. The GS3 has better EVERYTHING, processor, camera, screen and the OS especially. While you're using last year's hardware AND software, we'll have an all new look and feel of touchwiz that has astonished everyone ONCE AGAIN.

What's funny about your comment is that not only is it hated by almost everyone, but it is the most retarded comment I've ever seen. The iPhone 5 lost brutally to the Galaxy S3, you delusional iFag. And the iPhone 5S or 6 (probably 5S, cause we all know how much Apple loves milking a product as much as they can) will be so far behind the Galaxy S4, it won't even be worth looking at. While Apple's iPhone will be stuck forever with Apple's "Retina" marketing term, never to receive at least 720p HD, the Galaxy S IV will probably have 1080p HD. While the iPhone 5S will be lucky to finally get a quad core SoC (but will probably just get an updated dual core SoC), the Galaxy S IV will probably have the latest and greatest processor that will be available at the time. So, explain to me, in detail, how the next iPhone, what ever it will be called, is going to out do our precious S4 like how the iPhone 5 apparently outdid the S3, you delusional iFag.

iPhone 5 'out did S3'???? Yeah, right; that's why that iPhone is getting returned and people are replacing it with that 'out done' S3!

The s4 wil only be the best smartphone ever built when it is released, soon after that some other phone well take that title. I'm also pretty confident that sooner or later everybody will just be buying Samsung branded devices just because they think.it's a premium brand and they will end up like Apple where they have equal haters and hardcore fans. I'm just saying a point here not trying to bash Samsung at any means, love my galaxy note 1 , planning to buy the note 3 next year. Not everybody can stay on top for a long time

Everything about the Galaxy S4 sounds great n' all and Sammy has really pushed the waters when it comes to screen sizes in smartphones, but where is the line they're going to draw between the Galaxy S series & the Galaxy Note series?

12. DKMDROID (Posts: 102; Member since: 09 Aug 2011)

I was thinking the exact same thing when i first saw this article on another website the logical thing to do is to eventually merge the 2 series together into one phone and have a smaller mini version of the S4/5 (theoretically) so then it reaches a broader audience cos with a 5" screen its dangerously close to the Note line of phones all it really needs is the S-pen

posted on 21 Nov 2012, 03:35

22. Mr_Hyde (Posts: 20; Member since: 20 Nov 2012)

Well I don't know how I feel about them merging those 2 series together.

Just based on their sizes and ergonomics alone, the Note series is more tablet-like in nature and is more suited towards people that want to mediate between a tablet and a smartphone.

The Galaxy S series, is more of a premium smartphone in the same league as the 4.7 inch smartphones and below, including but not limited to: HTC One X, Nexus 4, Razr Maxx HD, or even the Galaxy S2, etc.

I think that both the Galaxy S series & the Galaxy Note series can still be successful as separate entities, but I do think that size & ergonomics play an important role in their distinctions, as well as their target audiences.

"the line is drawn HERE AND NO FURTHER" call that reference and you are awesome. but in all seriousness 4.99 should be the stopping point. Note 3 though most likely will be 6 inches of sexyness

I have to laugh. A smartphone with a stylus will never even be looked at as something that is conceivably doable because of how against it Steve Jobs was, and yet, you look at devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note II, which a stylus. And are beyond successful. Just look at how many useful, and awesome, extra features that are on the Note II, that without the stylus, wouldn't be possible, or wouldn't be reliable. I think that Apple could legitimately learn a thing or 2 from Samsung. Things they aren't learning while they try to quell innovation by trying to f****** everyone over in courts.
