yeah, how big of a deal is the 128mb ram? would the apps ran on the phone (email, web browsing, IM, etc.) be significantly slower on it?

The motion G sensor is the other name of the well known Accelerometer, cuz it measures the acceleration of turning. *my 9 cents*

its also used so that if a call comes thru you can flip the phone up side down and the phone will stop ringing

#21 - from a technical standpoint yes they would be slower, but I bet that most of the extra ram that is in the sprint device is used to power the accellerometer. I have th xv6900 for verizon and 35% is always used up no matter what to power the TouchFLO interface. The diamond's beautiful interface must come at a price though. I bet between the interface and the Motion G sensor, there is probably 90-100 MB oF Ram already. Don't get me wrong I am PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSED!!!! that VZW isn't release the phone with the main feature that makes it trump the iPhone. But the VZW executives are not stupid there must be a reason. But out of protest I will not buy it. Besides, my two year contract ends in 2010, by then HTC will have the Touch Titanium or something that makes the Diamond look like a piece of junk anyways. I will just look funny like I did when I had my i730 for 2 years when the mogul/6800 came out for VZW. Calm down PEOPLE!!!

all 4 phones list "Wirelss LAN 802.11 b/g" does this mean that all phones will have built in wireless? I would expect VZW to take this out instead of the accelerometer.

why would verizon take out the ability to use wifi? to me that should be pretty much standard on any pda/smartphone

22. Aphrophyre (unregistered) posted on 05 Aug 2008, 10:13

You obviously don't know that Verizon *always* nerfs wi-fi on their PDAs/Smartphones

26. (unregistered) posted on 05 Aug 2008, 11:16

What phone does Verizon have that is the exact same phone as Sprint with No wifi? please check your facts

33. Drewkkake (unregistered) posted on 05 Aug 2008, 12:06

Uhhh... how about the Touch? How about YOU check your facts.

42. LessthanZach posted on 05 Aug 2008, 13:58

The touch for Sprint does NOT have WIFI. VZW has not taken wifi of of any of their HTC phones that I have been around for such as the 6800 5800 6900(never had it) or 6700.

I find it funny that Sprint somehow knows what versions of the phones verizon is going to have.. Anyone else think that smells fishy?

60. brunnettegirl412 (unregistered) posted on 05 Aug 2008, 16:15

yes it does smell fishy.....so sprint can turn around and make SURE that they have a better working phone than verizon! so they basically copy vzw..........it sounds VERY TRUE..................plus im not saying sprint is better cause they're not

164. Big Kippa (unregistered) posted on 09 Aug 2008, 02:53

How does Sprint copy Verizon? They always get phone's first and sometimes exclusively for a time. Name one phone that Verizon had first then Sprint "copied". You can't!!!

171. brunnettegirl412 (unregistered) posted on 11 Aug 2008, 13:50

the sprint "muziq" was released AFTER the LG chocolate!!! and they did basically COPY them...........and wat do u mean they get phones first???? :/

172. (unregistered) posted on 11 Aug 2008, 13:52

oh and the instinct is pretty much like the voyager too.....except for the QWERTY keyboard

181. LessthanZach posted on 15 Aug 2008, 03:50

It's more like the Dare, which has been out almost 2 months now and feature wise beats the shit out of the instinct....

192. (unregistered) posted on 20 Aug 2008, 15:24

Oh yeah features like Windows Live Search which is intigrated with Telenav and Threaded Text totally kill the Instinct....wait a min the Dare doesn't have either of those. You can have your 1.2 better mega pix cam and accelomerter (which only works while useing sertain apps) and I'll take the more practical every days use featurs.

193. (unregistered) posted on 20 Aug 2008, 15:50

How did the Muziq copy the Chocolate? One is a slider and the other is a flip. Now the new Chocolate which released this year does look just like the Muziq which was released over two years ago so that is an example of Sprint getting a phone two years before and yes Muziq was the first phone in the US with an FM transmitter so VZW did basiclly COPY Sprint on that phone.
