Another day, another day closer to the launch of the BlackBerry Storm2 9550 which now appears to be October 21st through Verizon...

I was told by a VZW rep on online purchasing, that the storm will be available for preorder on saturday. dont know how credible that is but thats what the rep told me to wait till sat. so i can order it online.

The storm looks pretty interesting... but I don't know, the iPhone has more apps... it's a hard decision, but I think the iPhone may have to win out here.

yeah more apps! more then half of witch are either useless like a lighter or chug a beer. that statment would have more impact if they developed more apps that did somthing use.ful

Well, the applications are developed by third parties, and I think the massive response to the app store is a great thing! As with any open project, there's bound to be tons and tons of garbage, but there are some great gems out there -- games, educational tools, even small music notation applications! A lot of them are very great. I think most people have a very negative view of the iPhone, which is really sad... it seems that they hate the iPhone either because it's an Apple product or because so many people use it. I was the same way. Then, I entered adulthood and stopped being a tool and started using one! Have a nice day!

haha i hate the iphone for those reasons you mentioned. and with crackberry, handango, the app world, blackberrys have many many apps.

That seems like an odd reason to hate something. I don't like Wagner as a person, but his music is great, regardless of him being such a popular composer.

Those are the same reasons I dislike, not hate, Verizon with the smug and sometimes superior attitude of thier subs and most employees is a close second to those prices

SurePress = epic fail One of the only things I see holding this phone back is the LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME Surepress. The capactive part of the screen works amazingly, but then you have to smash the screen to get it to do everything. When it comes to hammering out long texts and e-mails??? What a PITA!!!!!!!! Get rid of SurePress and they've got a winner on their hands.

i use the surepress just fine. and i press the buttons lighter on my storm than i did on my old voyager, which is better on my fingers. :-). i just don't see the issues everyone else has with their storms. :-?
