More analysts expect to see the iPhone 6 display "approach 5-inches"
0. phoneArena 11 Oct 2013, 01:17 posted on
The rumors about a larger iPhone just keep on coming. Last month, we heard that Apple was testing devices at various screen sizes from the smartphone range of 4.8-inches all the way to the phablet size of 6-inches. We have also heard two different analysts saying that the displays for next year's iPhone are set to change, and once again that 4.8-inch size was mentioned. Now, we've got one more analyst jumping on the wagon for a larger iPhone 6...

They are always late to the game when it comes to large screens

Looking cool in the photo but
As being an apple fan I think apple is late
They should try making flexible displays

A bigger Iphone would make sense considering the smaller Android smart phones (4.3 being the mini versions) like the iphones 4 inch screen so if Apple went with a larger screen they could get that resolution everyone wants with more pixels, Should be exciting to see larger I phones

Screen size has nothing to do with resolution you could have a 4" 1080p display or a 50" 1080p display they said have the same amount of pixels in the display. If apple was to make the iPhone around 440ppi to compete with android it would be somewhere around 900p.

At that point, wouldn't they just go 1080p to be ahead of the competition? Even if they bumped the screen size to 4.5 inches, it'd still have a higher pixel density than even the HTC One.

Apple has shown the mini versions (of the 5" android flag ships) just don't sell well, and thus it makes sense just to sell one version.
I am with the camp that Apple goes with a 4.3" device (as opposed to a larger screen) since battery life is so damn important to the Apple experience. People have gotten used to 10 hours of run time as the standard.

Wow, these "analysts" are really taking a huge leap guessing there will be a larger screen on the iPhone 6. Anyone who is even remotely familiar with smartphones know that Apple will increase the screen size. It doesn't take a genious or so called expert to see this was coming.

Lol, more dumb, far-fetched "analyst" rumors. Although, entertaining the notion for one moment... if Apple actually did commercialize a product that was "taller" than 4.5 inch, I wonder what their marketing excu... I mean reasoning would be for why they had to opt for it over their finding of a "perfect" size of 4 inches lol.

4.5" for 2014, 2015 and 2016.
5.0" for 2017 and beyond.
Our hands aren't getting bigger. Why should Apple rush in the screen size race? Eventually screen size will not matter in the coming years. Flexible displays and new screen tech will be the next story. Look at the S4 and G2; anything over 5.2" will be a phablet.

I'm much more inclined to say they'll go with a 4.5 inch 720p display, it's pixel density would be 326, unless they went "Super Chromatic iRetina" or some ridiculous iSight-esque name when they go above 326

It's the same crap every year with these analysts and iPhone screen size. Just a bs ploy to raise apple stocks!
