Ah, being a mom nowadays! Don't get us wrong - we don't know a thing about it and we're more inclined to remember our toddler's age of 8-bit consoles, but times change. Now, even moms can't go through the day without technology...

Never let a child look at your phone without 100% supervision. I let my young cousin see my iPhone and within 10 minutes he had me locked out of my iTunes account because he kept trying to download apps and didn't know the password. It took like 15-20 to get the account unlocked and password changed...good times, good times lol.

I let my little boy play with my android here and there. I had an app called child lock and it alloud him to interact with the screen, creating neon lines, shapes, and sounds when they did something. He maybe played with that 8 or so times before he was 1 1/2.. Now hes almost 3 and he is able to navigate and scroll through screens, play simple games, and knows to hit the upper corner x on an app to close screens. There is no vibration set on me phone so he does this with no tacticle feedback. Thats amazing i believe. I cant speak for his mother who has him most of the time, but he doesnt get my phone unless were playing something together.

Kids are amazing, they obsorb info like its nothing. That is why they say if you want your kids to be bi-lingual start them young... Its easy for them.
Just like setting a vcr was simple for me at age of 7, but my parents had no clue.

do they REALLY use them though? Y'know, for calls, email, web browsing, texting?

100% of those 25% toddlers will be addicted to spell check, only socialize digitally, data hogs, probably over weight, easily distracted, close encounters with death while crossing the street and texting*, and talk when they drive when they grow up. :') ahh U.S. America what have we done to our youngest generation.

I took my old OG Droid and put a bunch of games on it and put it in airplane mode. My 4 year old plays games, takes pictures and voice records on it. She knows Android OS better than my father!
