Apple says it is expanding the transition period of MobileMe to iCloud until at least September. Now users of the former Apple cloud storage product have until September to keep their existing place in the clouds until required to load up the truck and move to a new cloud...

I suspect the migration off of MobileMe hasn't gone as well as had been hoped for. I have been on MobileMe since 2002 (when it was Mac.com) and I haven't migrated to iCloud.

Migration to iCloud is just fine. I did it a few weeks after it was possible and had no ill effects. The reason they are doing this is because iDisk is going away completely and a lot of folks still use it. So they are giving folks extra time to keep it. I just wish they wouldn't abandon it. Now I've gotta go to drop box. I wouldn't even mind paying for iDisk, but Apple wants to can it...
