Minor software update to Skype for iOS brings forth mostly bug fixes and UI improvements
By now, Skype users using an iOS device have been getting their video chatting thing on for quite some time, but of course, it’s only a matter of time before they see some kind of software update heading their way. Well people, that time is here yet again, as the popular app has been upgraded to version 4.0.

So what’s new with Skype version 4.0 for iOS? Well actually, there’s not much of a dramatic change with the app, but rather, the update consists mostly of bug fixes and a few new UI improvements. Specifically, the new software update features the following:

  • New feature: ability to move own video preview
  • App auto restarts if unexpectedly shut down
  • Improved accessibility
  • Improved stability
  • Updated design for contacts and messages
  • New sign in screen
  • Other minor UI improvements
  • Bug fixes

That’s about it for now, therefore, if you haven’t updated the app just yet, you can grab it for free through the App Store. Once it’s installed, you keep on doing your usual Skype – while soaking in some of the new stuff available with it.
