Why not just integrate Windows Phone and Windows RT.
still pretty nice since most phablets are now pretty close to 6 inch size.

It would definitely make sense and seem plausible after GDR3 is released since both will be on the same hardware spec page.

Unfortunately, this makes the Lumia 1520 obsolete in the long run, unless Microkiasoft decides to upgrade it to RT later on.
RT's tablet functionality would be awesome on the 1520, but sadly I, the uninformed observer, don't see the 1520 as being anything more than an overpowered Windows Phone... which means what, exactly?

Merge your comments into one. Seems pretty reasonable.

If he does that, though, it'll squish our comments (and all your precious likes) into oblivion!

Windows RT is more capable and feature rich than windows phone,
So good move.
Just can't imagine the windows desktop running on a phone screen (even a 6" one).

ARM is going 64 bit late next year. If Microsoft was smart, that would be their platform to reinvent windows RT off of.

ARMS CPU"S use rules the mobile device world. Therefore like it or not Microsoft must have a
Windows operating system that runs on these ARM CPU's from what I read the Brand name Windows RT will not be used any more but I think Microsoft has to make a new name for their
ARMS Mobile Operating system Like "Win Mobile" or "WinMO" "Wintab".ect. I think Unless there is good price break on the Microsoft "Surface 2" ARM CPU tablet it will fail to sell well in the market place rumor has it will sell for 499 dollars if this does it will not sell well in the market place because there are too many cheap Android tablets out there. this is sad because the surface 2 really can do more things than any apple Ipad or a Android tablet can do. the new Nokia Windows on arms OS tablet I think will out sell the MS Surface 2 because 1=it's new
and does not have the Surface RT's bad Public reception..2=Special Nokia software that sets it apart from a Windows RT or Surface 2 3=it has a sleek strong polycarbonate plastic body that comes in many Colors to make it not look like the 2001 black monolith Tablet slabs that are on the market today. "The Surface mini" if it bundled with the right apps and services like Barnes and Noble Novels a, Educational text books, Encyclopedia Britannica, and good calculus math level graphics calculator could be the window on ARMS Savior for Microsoft because 1=it is new and does nit have the windows RT reputation. 2=it has to be marketed as an Entertainment/Educational tablet so people wont even consider it a business work tablet although you can use for business applications. people will know what it is for and what to expect it capable of.
