Windows Mobile 6.5 is said to get a touch interface update in February, while WM7 handsets will compete with the iPhone…

It means they will provide 2 different types of UI for different users who have different needs. Whereas apples iPhone is a great product, but it doesn't suit everyone. So microsoft wants to compete for multiple users' needs. it is a smart phone.

*Cough *Cough MS cannot defeat the iPhone OS. I've seen how laggy the WM is and it won't beat Apple iPhone OS that easily.
