Microsoft to launch 3 new services along with Windows Mobile 6.5?
It looks like fans of Windows Mobile are in for quite a treat at next month's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Internet reports say that not only will the Redmond based software company introduce WinMo 6.5, another trio of offerings will be announced. "SkyBox" will allow for mobile syncing of e-mails, calendar appointments, and SMS. It will also allow for automatic backup and restore. "SkyLine" is the business based version of "SkyBox" with Exchange integration. Businesses will be able to use Microsoft's Exchange hosting using their own domain names. "SkyMarket is an over the air applaications center similar to the Apps Store on the iPhone and the new BlackBerry Applications Center expected to open this March. What improvements to the current 6.1 version of Windows Mobile would you like to see in the next release?

how about making sure that everything still works. even my top rated omnia is still suffering from redraw errors and memory leaks from time to time. just had to wipe it last week because of that. also had to take off the wireless sync because the sync passwords "ok" button wouldnt draw.. just make the dang thing work! :)

1. Uniformity: the Omnia seems like it's trying to operate on two or three different operating systems, like MS just pasted a few skins on an old system. 2. Better media playback. 3. Mobile Facebook or other social networking applications.

@ jskrenes 1. That's more the fault of Samsung. They added their TouchWiz menus on top of the WinMobile 6.1 OS, so that is why it seems there are many redundancies. 2. Windows media player is okay, but you can easily download many free and paid apps for playing audio and video, such as Touch Player, the free TCMP, or MortPlayer. 3. There are two programs for windows mobile that connect to facebook. Friend Mobilizer is one of them:http://faceofmobile.com/ --- But I am looking foward to the skymarket, and hopefully the 6.5 update will be created for most/all of the popular 6.1 devices.

Also, in the WM 6.5 update, don't forget the updated IE mobile based on IE6. It will have flash and silverlight support. Hopefully it'll catch up to opera and skyfire.

How about UI features that prevents face dialing, pocket dialing, and buries things like "change clock" rather than put them on the main screen. The main thing I want though is it to be thumb-friendly so you can use it without a stylus.
