Microsoft shuts down ChevronWP7 Windows Phone unlocking

While there were hopes that because of the overwhelming response to ChevronWP7 Labs’ tokens Microsoft would authorize another round, it looks like those were just pipe dreams because Microsoft has just nixed the whole project...

microsoft should have learnt from the underground community 2 c wat people really want....they did not. and now wp7.5 is a joke....

no custom sms tones....

no background wallpaper options......

only 4 decent theme colors.
.
to change these u need to spend hours unlocking the device and downloading sdk packages from microsoft

so this only affects those that paid to unlock, not those that unlocked it themselves. Wow, way to punish people for trying to do it legally, MS.

The Library Of Congress ruled that if you've paid for your device, then you own it! It's yours! You may unlock it, you may root it, you may 'jailbreak' it, you may install custom ROMS, you may throw it off of your 3rd floor balcony if you wish. It's your property; do as you wish...
