Microsoft says more consumer-facing features are in store for Windows Phone 8 than what was shown

This revelation probably means that besides the new home screen we might actually get acquainted with that arched keyboard that leaked yesterday, and maybe a lot of other stuff that we will be patiently waiting for. Greg Sullivan also offered some insight into the decision-making process when developing Windows Phone the way it is now, before the rich hardware support of WP8...

I really hope there's gonna be cloud features. And I hope there's a speech assistant. Then wp can compete completely with its and android. We deserve competition in this world

There's already a lot of Skydrive integration. I doubt they'll increase it more.
@12Danny12: It does have speech assistance too. They've teamed up with Audible for better speech recognition.

This is what the Android loving oems have been waiting for! Lets see if they will produce that 64 core phone! If not, then they're a bunch of lying, tricky, BS'ers!

I think Nokia will do that if you're talking about a on contract device.not of contract. If of contract if would likely be a mid range or low end

im talking about off contract... how could they possibly compete with low end android and cheap android china phones if they will only sell a sub $100 on contract? the galaxy y is rulng that part because it has cheap price tag and rich ecosystem...thats why nokia-microsoft should do something to deal wiith the very low end market!

How can you tell how huge of a company Microsoft is? By the fact they can AFFORD to be patient.
I always felt the WP 2010 launch was a "soft start", just something to get the new system out and see it in real life, try out updates, and optimize as they went. Nearly 2 years later, and they still are taking their time in getting information out, releasing the actual tablet and cell phone software to their OEM's and users, ect.
W8 is going to be a monster ecosystem. It better be, or MS will feel the after effects of this for years.

I'm glad they didn't rush because that might they ended badly. And whatever they are showing is satisfying. I just hope it'll gained more market share by next year.
