So first there's a petition aimed at Google to develop apps for WP and now Microsoft is trying to badger Google to do so? First Youtube and then what else? Maybe if Microsoft would stfu about how WP is supposedly better than Android and "ask properly", as @xperia knight has said, there wouldn't be a problem. But Ms being the arrogant pricks that they are, they don't want to resort to that and instead would rather force it on Google. Way to prove that your better. And to all the WP users out there, what's the point in trying to brag about your OS when they're standing there bitching about s**t that they might as well make their own viral video site. They just know it wouldn't be a success, so this is what they resort to. Try this, make a live tile and put s petition for Ms to stop being stupid.

Np, just giving credit when credit is due.

24. OHaZZaR posted on 03 Jan 2013, 03:04 3

Microsoft should make a new video-streaming service to compete with youtube and make it exclusive to windows phone and windows. Because it worked out so well with Bing.

That's sarcasm you down-voters xD

27. cyborg009 posted on 03 Jan 2013, 03:10 1

It took some time.. but the time for payback is here :)
PS: I like android and WP both, i'm just not a fan of Microsofts ideologies.

Even if they are, it's probably because Microsoft has been such a bunch of s**theads in their Windows Phone marketing, Droidrage being the Prime example. Also Microsoft tends to verbally take a dump on all of their competitors all the time.

95. XPERIA-KNIGHT posted on 03 Jan 2013, 14:38

"and not everybody thinks that google is god"

yea cuz most think apple and microsoft is right?

83. Sniggly posted on 03 Jan 2013, 11:14 2

Hi, um, dumbass, the data stays internal to Google and doesn't get sold. Google looks at the data and brings up ads that are out there anyway. They don't actually give it to advertisers. That would be Facebook.

And the director of the CIA was a scumbag.

88. networkdood posted on 03 Jan 2013, 13:38

as far as we know...speaking of CIA - you should look up its ties to Facebook - that is more scarier than Google.

87. networkdood posted on 03 Jan 2013, 13:37

you can block it you know, I do when browsing on chrome

49. anupam.chopra posted on 03 Jan 2013, 03:54 5

Good Move Google. Results of MS karma were long overdue.

61. roscuthiii posted on 03 Jan 2013, 04:51 2

I wasn't under the impression that Google was obligated to provide MS with YouTube. I guess MS better call up Apple and let them know they also demand iTunes.

69. ogy_dogy posted on 03 Jan 2013, 06:14 3

Well i think msoft should disable the chrome browser on all windows machines. Its sad to see a company like google, which a while back i really thought did no evil, prectically bite the hand thats feeding it. Hadnt it been for msoft and windows google would still be in a shed or wherever they started.

71. lubba posted on 03 Jan 2013, 06:41 1

Just because someone was evil doesn't mean you have to be one too.

75. squeeb posted on 03 Jan 2013, 08:24 1

Cry me a river!

77. tuxpower posted on 03 Jan 2013, 09:28 2

Well, perhaps if Microsoft would stop suing Android vendors and trying to remove them from the market, perhaps Google would "play fair" in return. Just sayin'

78. papss posted on 03 Jan 2013, 09:42 1

Seriously I love the fanboys on this site.. Just like politics all sides saying their preferred OS is better or that OS is better. Who cares.. I like each for different reasons.. Phones I much prefer WP8, even coming from Android, on tablet I have a Android and Apple and love them too.. Only poor bastards are fanboys..buy all

79. chaoticrazor posted on 03 Jan 2013, 09:54 2

all the comments are just justifying google doing what MS has done before as a response to it. basically google arent allowed to do what the apparently ''evil'' companys do because fanboys will justify it.

can we just face facts for once google is just as bad as all the others, infact they seem great at deluding people to think there good. no company does anything for nothing. if they see competition or a way to slow it they will

and please do try to respond android fanboys as you worship google worse then you say apple fans worship apple

84. Sniggly posted on 03 Jan 2013, 11:15 1

What does Google do that's evil?

90. networkdood posted on 03 Jan 2013, 13:41

If you want to compare APPLE and Google - hands down APPLE is the more evil of the two, but I doubt it matters. I block Google from knowing what I am doing on my Chrome browser. If they were all that bad, then that option would not be allowed from a 3rd party add on.

86. networkdood posted on 03 Jan 2013, 13:35

Google has the right to not make Windows Mobile apps, but I am sure it is in the works, when it is viable.

89. techguy22 posted on 03 Jan 2013, 13:40 1

sadly, they will release their apps eventually. but MS needs to learn some lessons first. they trolled really hard on google/android. now its time for google to troll at them. same thing happened to apple.

91. networkdood posted on 03 Jan 2013, 13:43

and, there is not enough windows phones out there to justify the time and money spent on making mobile apps for microsoft. Maybe there is a policy change on Microsoft's part that Google does not like. Perhaps it has to do with ad revenue on Windows phones. I would like to hear what Google has to say on this.

92. networkdood posted on 03 Jan 2013, 13:51

Google response in the article:
'Contrary to Microsoft’s claims, it’s easy for consumers to view YouTube videos on Windows phones. Windows phone users can access all the features of YouTube through our HTML5-based mobile website, including viewing high-quality video streams, finding favorite videos, seeing video ratings, and searching for video categories. In fact, we’ve worked with Microsoft for several years to help build a great YouTube experience on Windows phones.'

94. networkdood posted on 03 Jan 2013, 13:54

thanks to APPLE, everyone believes that they need 'an app for that' for everything....and, you do not.

93. networkdood posted on 03 Jan 2013, 13:52

Funny that Microsoft whines about stuff that they actually do to others. The XBOX Live app for Android is not as good as their own for Windows phones. Their waypoint app for Halo needs to be updated to include Halo 4. Compare google with microsoft and you will see that google does a much better job with their apps on other platforms, although, not perfect.

98. -RVM- posted on 03 Jan 2013, 17:58

Funny how Microsoft got what they deserved. Anyone remember how they purposely provided broken MSN page to Opera users ?

Anyway, i hope this will be solved, for the good of Nokia.

DROP YOU'RE LAWSUITS against Android OS THEN Google will put YOUTUBE APP in your Windows OS M$
