If Microsoft or Nokia would release a new phone or bring the 930 to AT&T I would jump from my S5 in a heartbeat or possible trade the s5 for a G3 and buy a 930

I think i'd do the same with my S5, the 1520.3 is just too large somedays. I'd love to have a 5-5.3inch windows phone that is worthwhile.

I don't know about you all, but since the last two updates on my 920 the music player behaves weird. Sometimes it just skips to the first song when you try to select some other.

Sorry man, I don't own a windows phone but truly want one, maybe an icon or 930 in my future if I could get either on AT&T

Why does wp fans always left wanting? Why can't you just buy precisely what you want? I do.
For me, its very clear that my next phone will be a Note 4 and nothing else.

thats because alone Nokia has given lot of tempting options for everyone . its hard to decide which is better for us.
android is like all OEMS make same specs hardware with different logo and price on top. so you just go for the biggest brand name easy task :P

Show how much you know about Android. Every user is free to change everything from lock screen, notification bar, launcher, icons to whichever 3 parties style.
In fact all my own android devices look and feels different because I like to experiment with different combination. I can even duplicate WP8 horrible look and feel. But with the support of android apps and games.

your reply is total irrelevant. shows us how limited you are with arguments
for your irrelevance one thing Android is customizable but no way personalization like WP can be made its total different things you wont understand unless you used both OS for some time
17. joey_sfb (Posts: 5415; Member since: 29 Mar 2012)
I use wp8 at work so I do know. WP fans are defensive because its low market share.
WP8 is not my choice mobile OS period.

I bet you use it at work.
Maybe windows phone fans are defensive because they are sick of hearing narrow minded morons like yourself speak about something they have no clue about

good for you you can imitate the innovative metro ui on your droid. good for us we can't imitate the sluggish performance of an android ui on wp's.
you stick with the eyecandy, we stick with the quality.

Yes. I do enjoy the experience of my android devices provide. Only wp8 is lagging in support and being left out.
23. bon24x7 (Posts: 206; Member since: 30 Aug 2012)
lagging in support? 36 months is more than enough. how many android OEMS provide more than 6 months support on their devices irrespective of low or high end? My Nexus 7(2012) is on KitKat 4.4.2. That's not the latest version. Even a Google device isn't getting over 18 months of support. And I hate the fact that some services keeps stopping in between with a pop up message both on my tab and my old android phone.
It never happens on a WP device. It just works flawlessly without lags or services stopping in between. So yeah, WP users enjoys stability over your pop up messages and silly customization's which does nothing more than eye candy stuff. ;)

The world is a cruel place. Wonder why so many people like to kick wp fans teeth in when you are down.
That's why I never bother with third. Microsoft need to regain is crown if they want my money again. After 20 years using and supporting their products. The experience is an expensive and unpleasant one so I hope they never do again.

android is sluggish? no. android scrolling is choppy once in a while which I hope Google will fix, but in terms of speed, by no means is it "sluggish". fluidity and speed are two different things.
I would sacrifice some fluidity for OTG support and features similar to S View.... that makes your Glance Screen look like a joke.
I own both kinds of device and I like different aspects about both. Out of everyone's opinions here, your "sluggish" argument is the most misinformed. If you bring this back to the pre-ICS days, I would have agreed.
Anyways, have fun with managing files on your smooth WP until "Files" actually makes an appearance. I hope you are having fun doing online banking without an app too.

cool story how about sub 200$ device filled with 100+ apps with 5+ opened same time hows your foreground working maybe sometimes i guess. you know what i MEAN :D

I have to laugh at you as well for that last part. For one if you had both you would know there is file managers in the store and have been there since windows phone 7. Two, since when can you not bank online without an app? Lazy much?
37. dr.c33 (Posts: 19; Member since: 31 May 2014)
oh billgates, do you not know your own product? Before the WP8.1 update, no file manager was a real file manager. The best file manager-ish app was "Pocket Explorer". Notice how it was completely revamped after WP8.1 update? It's cus MS finally allowed user access to the directories from within the phone.
Before that, all file managers are just an excuse of a real functional system organizer. Please, I have been using WP products for over 2 years, the only thing that MS is doing right for mobile is WinRT, but then there is no app support.
It's funny because a fanboy like you doesn't know his own product well enough. And the only WP7 file manager that worked was the jailbroken file manager.
Oh and by the way, the purpose of engineering is to allow people to take the easiest route. Why don't you carry a flip phone and a laptop in your backpack with you so that you can surf on the internet? Are you that lazy? How about don't use the bridge and swim across the river? Ha, fanboys, on both Android and the WP side, are just making excuses for their own systems. But you are the most hilarious one that I have seen. "Oh, WP can't do that.... why are you so lazy then?" What a joke.
Besides, it sounds like you don't even do banking, you probably still ask your mommy or allowance :'). D'awww

enjoy the lag buddy!
I am really enjoying WP8.1 on my 1020! It's clear to me that I will not buy a Android phone in the near future. WP is more than enough for me! can't even remember when last I had to restart my phone while on my dad's HTC he has to do it almost twice a week

Well enjoy the restricted platform and no major apps and games
Well enjoy the platform which Wp users were desperate for what Android provides, which Wp users had to wait 2 years for
Well enjoy the fake multitasking
Well enjoy the half-baked platform
Well enjoy being controlled and been told what and what you can't
Well enjoy what rejoice?

He's having problems breathing with Google unmentionables on his chin.
33. haseebzahid (Posts: 1853; Member since: 22 Feb 2012)
rofl well it took 5+ years for android come half the way equal fluidity of WP7 forget about wp8. these are solid OS atlest more then android in stability and performance and LAGG_LESS,
not hollow crap with bling bliing on TOP to hide lot of problems and its only now when things are looking a bit differnt for Android finally they hired someone smart. very few people know the differnce between quality and crap. and world is full of idiots.

Microsoft needs to show off WP Flat UI. I find it funny that everybody is going flat including other mobile OS yet MS fails to promote something they started within software. Such incompetence. Transparent Tiles are cool as heck.
20. GJanee (Posts: 214; Member since: 29 Jun 2011)
they did not fail. why do you think ios and droid started to copy the flat, tileish design? because of failure? nah.
users are simply too ignorant, and will only accept these design accomplishments from the os they are content with. everybody hated on metro at its launch. ios people started to acknowledge it only with 7.0 and droid people with htc's blinkfeed and samsungs lame magazine ui. i wouldn't call changing the whole design landscape of mobile phone ui's and ux's a failure.

Flat design with only 5 lines of texts. Brilliant!
