thank god. everything about these phones were fail. sluggish as hell, web browsing was a complete joke, lack of features and apps. i would pick a 10 year old nokia over these things. at least they had Snake on them.

We all knew this when they were first announced.

I can't blame Microsoft and Verizon for going outside the box and trying something new, but with the $30 data plan tagged on to these things, you may as well go Android or Blackberry. The KIN's aren't terrible phones, but they aren't the most intuitive devices ever made, and certainly not for an extra 30 bones a month. I'm looking forward to see what Windows 7 Mobile has to offer...hopefully Microsoft will get their act together. The more competition the better!

Even the people at Microsoft thought it would fail, I have no idea why they keep green lighting these terrible ideas...

I was thinking of getting one until I found out about the data plan. It really isn't a big surprise that they've failed.

25 MB would go away in 1 day with this phone. You need unlimited data with it. It backs up everything to a server. It stays connected to the internet all the time.

If these phones are any close to high end motorola, htc, etc phones, they would do better with the premium $30 monthly package. These weak phones dont really deserve to be bounded to premium package at all.

I agree with some. I like the HD recording on the KIN 2. (I have a Droid) But I agree the KIN phones SHOULD have been able to be used on PrePaid and on Post pay W/OUT a DATA PLAN of $30 REQUIRED. It just isn't that fancy and do that much for that.

not sure I agree, this is the replacement for the sidekick and the big draw there was a cheap data plan. Offer the same product with a $15 per month unlimited data plan and it will sell but you should not charge the same price as a data plan for the droid, blackberry or other smartphone for this device

This ranks right up there with the many other Microsoft fails, right next to the WebTV.

this is absolute fail at its all time high. Microsoft, stick to making software and video games..your shitty phones are welcomed in the market. YOUR windows 7 os is going to be garbage and is already behind most of the phones today and its coming out in four months. FAIL FAIL FAIL.
