Microsoft pours $300 million in Barnes&Noble for its own e-book and educational ecosystem

The software giant from Redmond together with Barnes&Noble announced a partnership, dubbed Newco, exclusively for the digital and college business of the largest book retailer in the US. Microsoft will contribute about $300 million to the joint venture, which gives it 17.6% stake, with the rest belonging to B&N...

Great for me!!! I am a Barnes & Nobel supporter already, so an App to WP brings my good reads over to my Phone real easy!! They just guaranteed my fun money stays in their corner and not a Kindle!!!

PhoneArena forgot to mention that once there was an ongoing lawsuit between Microsoft and Barnes&Noble. Barnes&Noble refused to pay those Android patents Microsoft claim and decided to go to court.
I'm surprised that this time Microsoft took a more creative approach. Instead of suing each other they went for partnership. Win-Win situation.

Maybe now they can push there Xbox game for wp7 dept. to get some really good title in. Till they do Im still leaning towards iPhone :(
