There have been various rumors for a while about a potential Microsoft or Nokia wearable, but we haven't seen any real evidence of it. As yet, there has been no word of a version of Windows for wearables, but a relatively reliable new rumor is saying that Microsoft will have a wearable ready in time for the holidays anyway...

If Microsoft prices it around $299. They will only sell to a few die hards. Not to mention by that time there will be plenty more smart watches and fitness bands at that time. I just bought the Gear Live, but will also be getting the Moto 360. Since that smart watch just looks like a regular watch.

If this device is to current smart watches/bands as the Surface Pro 3 is to current laptops/tablets, then I am in...
Could this be the year of awesome Microsoft hardware?

Umm... Surface 3 is much bigger, much pricier and lacking quality tablet apps compared to other tablets, while having smaller screen, worse keyboard and trackpad compared to other laptops. So doesn't translate well to smartwatch/band.

I am so sick and tired of people bashing on the Surface Pro 3. The price is justified from the quality of the product. It has a high resolution touchscreen at 12.1 inches. Its lighter than my previews chromebook (HP Chromebook 11) while having a better screen, keyboard, and trackpad.
Sure go ahead bash on the windows store, it adds apps daily just like ios and android.
As for translating to smartwatch/band, sure it does its the same freaking hardware team that put out the wonderful Surface to begin with.
