We've gotten a bit of information on the upcoming Microsoft Surface 2 and the Surface Pro 2; and, we've even seen some info on the new Power Cover that will come along with those new tablets. What we haven't heard about is that Microsoft is also going to expand the Surface tablet lineup with a Surface Mini that will be launched along with the other two devices...

What's wrong with making 7-8 inch tablet??

Yeah because apple was the first to make a 7-8" class tablet. Oh wait, no it wasn't. Next you'll say apple invented the tablet, right? I'll save you the effort, they didn't do that, either!

Samsung is the one copying by making a 12" tablet

I have a Gateway 12" tablet from 2002, running Windows XP Tablet edition. This way preceded Apple and Samsung.

I don't see you saying who Apple copied to make the mini....why not? Apple was not the first to make a 7-8inch tablet. Blackberry was. Now the iPhone will come with a finger print scanner and then all the apple fans will say they did it first too when they weren't. and with the new slow motion video capture they'll say that they did it first when they weren't. with the new camera capabilities they'll say they did it first when Nokia did and dominated it. and then apple doesn't have an HD screen yet. They don't have NFC yet, when NFC comes it'll all of a sudden be a big deal in the world when its been years with it out. I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF APPLE FANS SAYING THAT THEY ARE BEING COPIED WHEN IN FACT APPLE COMES OUT WITH THEIR "NEW" FEATURES 2 YEARS AFTER ANDROIND AND WINDOWS PHONE HAS HAD IT. shut up. saying android or windows phone or blackberry copied apple is like saying the kid who cheated off of your test "really did the work". You know nothing of tech sir, you may be able to read but you only read articles you like, you don't read of all platforms of all tech. get out of here and go to Gizmodo where all they do is suck apples C**k

Should be Windows 8 Pro with atleast 2 GB ram, Memory expansion slot and shouldn't cost more than 250$. Then it'll be a safe bet.

Especially the no more than $250 part. MS needs to compete!

folks it appears that brand name "Windows RT" is DEAD! what was known as Windows RT 8.1
now exist in the coming surface 2 for Windows on Arms CPU's. it will be better, faster and have more features than Windows RT had.. it will have the MS office suite with the addition of MS "Outlook" added to it. and rumor has it will be cost less to buy. The surface pro will get the Intel Haswell i5 CPU and have 7 hours of battery life plus more battery time will be added when the new type cover with a built in battery comes out for sale. it will have the same case with a 2 position kick stand. but the For REAL star of Microsoft's tablets will be NEW Nokia designed
Colorful polycarbonate body Tablets it will use a Qualcoom 800 quad core CPU and have what was known as Windows RT 8.1 as it's Operating system and have Nokia designed software. It's so good an Airline company has preordered & will use them. I hope Microsoft continues to make them and lets the Nokia team they now have that designed them continue to work on them. let The MS team stay with the Surface devices for Business and the Nokia tablets for the Educational and Entertainment Arena. these colorful fancy Nokia tablets will make an impact on the market place they come in many colors and are said to be well build. I hope they do not name them "Surface" Tablets. Surface tablets should be for Enterprise, home business and the Nokia Tablets for the masses who want a colorful good Tablet they can do a little business work on and play games on and watch videos, read books and surf the web on. Nokia is said to have a PINK one for you ladies too.

I hope that Nokia one still sees the light of day in Nokia Glory. They'd have me on day 1.

PS the info I just gave about the New "Surface Pro 2" and Nokia tablets has already been on the WEB I hope Nokia does indeed bring theses tablets out in many colors 90 percent of the tablets out there are dull 2001 monolith slabs. I think the Nokia designed Tablets will do for Microsoft with ARMS tablets what the Nokia Lumia designed smart phones did for the Windows 8 smart phone market and that is they made people notice and buy Windows Smart phones. These New fancy colored Nokia designed tablets may not be a hit in America but overseas the Nokia name is respected and they will be well received and Microsoft will smile on the way to the bank.
