Microsoft giving up to $70 in free apps to buyers of top-shelf Lumia models in U.S.
With the fierce competition in the smartphone industry during the holiday season, each manufacturer needs to do something to get an edge. For Microsoft, its edge is a deal that will give buyers of its high-end Lumia models up to $70 in free apps. For example, from now until January 15th, those purchasing the Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 928, Nokia Lumia 1020 and Nokia Lumia 1520 will receive $20 in app credit.

If you pre-order the Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet from a Microsoft Store (either online or bricks and mortar), you will get an additional $50 in credit to be used toward the purchase of apps, along with a free flip cover. Purchase the device on or after November 22nd from the same locations and you will also receive the additional credit and the flip cover.

And if you buy the new Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet along with the Nokia Lumia 925, Nokia Lumia 1020 or Nokia Lumia 1520, the price of the tablet will be reduced by $200 to $199. Now that's a deal worth taking advantage of this holiday season.
