Microsoft giving away Nokia Lumia 800 smartphones and a Ferrari for a weekend to new MVA students
Want to win a Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone? Want to get behind the steering wheel of a Ferrari supercar? Then read along very carefully. If you sign up for the Microsoft Virtual Academy, you have a chance of winning one out of five brand new Lumia 800 handsets, but we know that you would be much more interested in the Ferrari, wouldn't you. Well, the grand prize in the promo is a voucher that lets you drive a Ferrari over the course of a weekend, assuming you meet the necessary criteria.

Firstly, you need to be a UK resident in order to participate in the promo. Also, you need to be no younger than 28, yet no older than 70 years of age in order to drive the Ferrari. If the grand prize winner is aged between 25 and 27, they will be offered a different supercar. Of course, you will need a driver's license - one that has been valid for over 2 years and has no more than six points on it. The five Nokia Lumia 800 smartphones will be for the runner-ups.

If you are not too familiar with the Microsoft Virtual Academy, think of it as a virtual school where people interested in software development can sign up for free. The Academy offers studying materials about Microsoft's cloud based products and services. Thinking about jumping on board and learning something new? Then don't forget to enter this special promo code: MVAUKREG, upon signing up. Also, reading all the terms and conditions might be a very good idea.

Now this is a bit too desprate in my opinion. Come on MS Just show people the tools that will help them write apps not a car they can drive away from you with. lol

If there are already 70,000 apps in Marketplace and more added daily for a platform less than 2 years, how can this be desperation? Obviously NOT! MS just wants to sweeten the po, that's all..

Instead of bashing Microsoft,
Can your Apple or Google give you a chance to drive a Ferrari?
Can your Apple or Google exchange your feature phone for iPhone and Android?
They can't, accept it. Atleast Micro is giving people a chance to get a Windows Phone.

If 27-year old guys can be called kids, then yes. You have to be 27 years to 70 years old to drive the Ferrari
