So Windows 7 phones are capable out of the box, but it will still be up to the network providers to enable it or disable it. Way to be pro-customer Microsoft.

It does suck, but I'm sure people will find a way to get around the restrictions that carriers may place on this. They need to make the phone appeal to the carriers too, who are all about control. We love our carrier subsidized phones here in the US, so if carriers aren't going to carry it, there goes a huge chunk of sales.
