Even with BlackBerry 10 getting introduced next month, and Windows Phone 8 already launched, both RIM and Microsoft plan on continuing to let BlackBerry 7 and Windows Phone 7 remain alive for a period of time; according to Industry sources...

By legacy I thought they meant 6.x
I dont consider 7.x legacy yet..

I can see life for both old platforms into 2014. By that time, both the new platforms will have cheap options and support will be useless.
