Microsoft VP: No more Windows 10 Mobile builds for the Insider program before next week's event
If you're a member of the Windows Insider program, you won't be receiving another insider build of Windows 10 Mobile until after next week's big Microsoft media event in New York City. A tweet from Microsoft VP Gabriel Aul, in response to an inquiry, said that there will be insider builds made available after the event on October 6th, but not before it. During the event, Microsoft is expected to introduce the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL Windows 10 Mobile flavored handsets. Also unwrapped at the event could be the Surface Pro 4 tablet and the Microsoft Band 2 wearable fitness device.

Windows Phone isn't expected to be ready until late this month. The new handsets will probably not be launched until November, although they reportedly will be available for consumers to try out starting on October 26th when the New York City flagship Microsoft Store opens its doors. The store is made up of five stories located at 677 Fifth Avenue.

At present, Windows 10 Mobile build 10536 appears to be the best version of the OS for most Lumia owners. According to Aul, after the event it looks like there will be some more builds made available before a final decision is made.
