Microsoft Surface chokes on a glass of wine after being freeze-dried and oven-baked

0. phoneArena posted on 23 Nov 2012, 07:49

Afterwards, it was free for all over there - an egg was cut with the Touch Cover, the skateboard stunt was recreated, and the unsuspecting slate was tossed in the air, finally giving up the ghost completely with a cracked screen and all. Watch the festivities inside...

It actually survived a heck of a lot more than I was expecting. Is it possible the wine also corrupted the machine (drunk lol!) because of the previous freeze + heat tests?

While i agree with the drop and wine spilling, i think frying the egg and putting it in the freezer is totally irrelevant on testing the tablet's durability.
Seriously, who in his or her right mind do things like that?

quiet strong for a tablet

hmm some times you have open up a device to get the water off printed circuit boards. by the way no "surface Computer was advertised to be water proof. so that part of the test was a fail before it was started. but I am sure Microsoft's Surface designers may make a more resistant tablet in surface #2. Buy the way the Surface Pro coming out this January will fail the water test because it has air vents on it's sides to let it's CPU vents it's heat out the body. but then again if they turn the surface pro on it's side and let the water run out it's CPU heat vents and let it dry out a while like experts say it might survive.

Enough for durability marketing stunts, no one need that much of ruggedness!

Everyone just need a working tablet with lots of useful applications.
MS can you just stop this nonsense marketing and start showing some real life use of this tablet by using only touch gestures without some stupid keyboard.

Instead of spilling wine to it just let me have it. Surface was never announced as waterproof.
