64 gb to replace my netbook? No way. But I'll consider if the touch cover also has hdd extension. So, this is a tablet with 32/64 gb storage and become a netbook with 500GB/1TB hdd when keyboard connected

I think this is a good start for MS although I would like to get keyboard with the $499 starting price. But the lack of apps in its store is making me a bit hesitant to preorder one. Does anyone know how much effort Microsoft is putting into its apps store to make it robust? Or how fast Microsoft apps store is growing?

The pricing for the RT is just not very appealing. Might as well go for the Pro model.

Microsoft priced the surface RT tablet about what I thought they would go for. I am not
freaked out by their Price now folks get this Microsoft will stay in the tablet field they will improve their product to make it work better and the Apps will come. one and a half years from now. the Widows Rt tablet will have all the major apps people use and will sell well .

I wanted to buy one of these for a gift but with what I just read about the screen resolution I just don't know anymore if will buy this for Christmas gifting.....oh wait an article about Microsoft explaining why the low resolution is better than the Apple iPad's. Let me read this and see if this makes any sense. But I do want to gift this because it's pretty colors Lol

i wish price lower!!! i wish the price will be like at $399 for 32gb and the one with smartcover should price at $599

and its not wise to buy a 32gb for $599 while just add $100 then you'll get the 4gb version!

I really hope this tablet does do well, they've taken a very closed approach in the run up to launch and its hard to find any full reviews anywhere! It really is just going to depend on how people take to windows 8.. if it becomes as popular as windows 7 did, MS have a winner on their hands!

As much as I agree this is aimed at taking market share away from the iPad - when consumers actually see sense (thank god) I have a different dilemma on my hands, I'm considering the Microsoft Surface with Windows RT vs. Sony Xperia Tablet S vs. Sony Vaio T Ultrabook!

I'm just worried about the lack of apps available on RT - like is there even an official facebook app? And am also hoping it doesn't rely too heavily on Xbox games (I'm a PS3 man!) but for other things, such as Office 2013 and the USB port this tablet will be brilliant - but obviously still not as functional as the ultrabook, what do you guys think?
