Pre-paid carrier MetroPCS has beat everyone to the punch by using some of the LTE signal to habdle phone calls; the service is available n just one market at the moment while South Korea aims to roll out its voice over LTE using the Samsung Galaxy S III...

Korea's LG uplus started half day( Aug 7th 2am EST US) ago so Metro PCS is half day behind.
LG uplus only support volte LG Optimus LTE2 as of today.
SK tel follow(Aug 7th 2:30 am EST US) by LG uplus just 30min behind support Samsung s3

South Korea is a small country so a "national" roll-out isn't the same as a national roll-out in the US.

"Ironically, South Korea is expected ..." I'm sorry, but why is it "ironically?" Is the intent here to imply coincidence? As in, coincidentally? Just wondering? :)

Ironically can reference the fact that the handset makers are also Korean for the Korean market.
