I would definitely be interested in trying the software for 7 days to see if if had any significant impact on the speed of my phone. But given the $30 annual fee, there's not much point in trialing anything that I'm not going to ultimately purchase. For $10 a year, I'd give it some thought. $30, no freakin' way.
