0. phoneArena posted on 24 Feb 2011, 22:08
A Best Buy store in Roseville, California sent out a tweet saying that the launch of the HTC Thunderbolt will be delayed until March 4th; this corresponds with a tip we received today that Verizon Managers have been told that the phone has had problems and won't be launched until March...

Wow... At this rate I will just wait for the Bionic ...
2. glocksparg17 posted on 24 Feb 2011, 22:19 3
the thunderbolt is faster than the bionic so you would be stupid to wait longer for that

meh it would be close...
most people dont understand a dualcore vs singlecore isnt a diff of speed necesarrily.
but ya on this site you'll get ripped apart for that statement cause most people just believe what they hear.

The thunderbolt averages between 1900 and 2300 on quadrant. Htc just makes better phones period!

It seems like HTC must be having a lot of problems with this phone with all these delays since now it is being released that it is going to be lunched on the 4th because battery problems so it seems like there has been a lot of bugs to work out with it

they still need to fix it . i say forget that phone . and it only overclocked at 1.9. the moto droid can be over clocked at 2.5. I love the HTC but I'm thinking about it now . hmm . you can hack them but having a battery that sucks! really sucks . with the 2 core saves the battery by 40%. means more fun and more talk time. we need to call HTC. and tell them. make this phone with the 2 core. to fix the battery. so lets call now. and make the fix for them.

Yeah, let's call now. Anyone got the number for the guy making the decisions at HTC? Anyone? Hello? Is this mic on???
9. verizon808state (unregistered) posted on 25 Feb 2011, 01:30 1
lets all call HTC!. called HTC and verizon already. and they said it can be done. if more of us call in before verizonwireless lunches the phone. and it would be pulled back for the fix. but now the phone would be the best. think about it . ;)

As the TB get delay every week Verizon tease us with a stupid commercial advertising(wasting money) that its coming..i think its a little to late..we all know that the Bionic will be on sale by mid April and people rather spend their $250 on a phone that a better spec phone

With this many delays when are their other phones coming out, this is old news already

Lets consider this, sports fans.... were ANY of the previous dates really ever confirmed? How can the release date be "delayed" when it was never confirmed to begin with?
17. mp (unregistered) posted on 25 Feb 2011, 14:28 1
We all know this date will be moved up next week
18. john (unregistered) posted on 25 Feb 2011, 16:43 2

you're dumb.. this has nothing to do with Verizon.. they never announced when this phone is going to be released.. you're fault for believing all the rumors as to when this phone will come out.

I happen to think that there is another issue. CRAPple just announced a new crap book with a feature called "Thunderbolt" and not soon after was the phone was delayed again and again.. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows.
I was considering this phone, but might pick up the EVO.. Its the os update which will make the phone sing.
Anyone out there have the EVO?

calling verizon stupid is ignorant in its own statement seeing as they are only the biggest and best cellular company in the country.get your crap together buddy.as for phones it is for sure going to be the bionic for me

I'm just sick of best buy saying this date, this date, this date. And Verizon is being a real pain in the ass by not just giving a release date. They sure as shit made sure the iPhone was plastered all over the plastered all over the place. I'm ready to ditch Verizon and go to Sprint, or for that matter ANY other carrier. I'm done with the Verizon high school drama.
23. yupyup (unregistered) posted on 27 Feb 2011, 01:37 1
why are you all mad..thats why verizonwireless does not give out any info. only when the phone is ready to sale . all you guys have to be mad at the dummies that gave us the info in the first place. lol next time don't come to this site.

Yes it sucks having to wait n wait. but wouldnt it suck if they released a phone without bugs worked out? like t-mobile did with the G2. I had a friend buy the phone the day it came out. he has had problem after problem. he is now running android on it haha. no more problems. I have pre-paid for my thunderbolt, and i am not nervous about it. I appreciate what verizon is doing by pushing it back a couple weeks. that makes me confident that my money will go to a solid quality product.
