Manually install Android 4.2.1 on the "takju" version of the Samsung GALAXY Nexus

If you purchased your Samsung GALAXY Nexus directly from the Google Play Store, you have the "takju" version of the device; it just so happens that this is the model that can be manually updated to Android 4.2.1...

I think takju are the beta testers, since yakju are all international versions of the GNexus.

lol.. developers of Sammy like alcohol very much.. takju is the traditional korean alcohol made my rice and yakju is a sort of 'herb alcohol' which is good to human body. .

What's the difference between the 2 models ? One is unlocked the other is a carrier version ?

I think takju is developed in usa and yakju in Europe, but I'm not sure

I manually upgarded to 4.2.1 takju so bye bye Samsung since mine was "yakjuxw" which didn;t even get a 4.1.2. Flashed takju stock image as updates on that come faster than yakju from what i read on forums. Lets see how fast i get the OTA update notification when it is released next time. From India.

I had yakjuxw too and I flashed to yakju, now i take updates in date, it worth it really.
