MOTOBLUR found running on the T-Mobile G1

It seems as though the home grown MOTOBLUR, featured on the upcoming Cliq, was found to be up and running on the older T-Mobile G1 handset...

which phone the G1 or the Cliq.....cuz i don't think so....

I remember reading something that said the Android updates after Donut will not be compatible with th G1. Does this MOTOBLUR adaptability indicate that although the OS version will not be able to be updated, users will still be able to apply themes like this? Also, will other manufacturers make themes for Android? Please let me know if my terminology is off. Thanks.
