MOTOBLUR found running on the T-Mobile G1
The power of Android is just amazing sometimes, but maybe not as much for Motorola. That's because it seems as though their home grown MOTOBLUR, featured on the upcoming Cliq, was found to be up and running on the older T-Mobile G1 handset. Someone managed to obtain a leaked copy of the build and ported it over to the G1. Surprisingly it looks pretty sharp and runs smoothly in the video – although there are some minor elements like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth that were missing. This ROM is currently in beta with more fine tuning required to make it seem like a facsimile that's been previewed on the Motorola Cliq. So maybe those G1 owners who stood by Android when it first became a reality may still hold on to their phones if this continues to build steam?

I remember reading something that said the Android updates after Donut will not be compatible with th G1. Does this MOTOBLUR adaptability indicate that although the OS version will not be able to be updated, users will still be able to apply themes like this? Also, will other manufacturers make themes for Android? Please let me know if my terminology is off. Thanks.
