Lock Screen Widgets for Windows Phone does exactly what the name implies
As sleek and elegant the Windows Phone platform may be, it sure falls behind when it comes to customization. However, here is a cool little app that can add some spice to the interface of your WP handset. It is called Lock Screen Widgets and is a homebrew solution that does exactly what the name implies. Once installed, the software allows users to add small live tiles to their lock screen, which can display information, such as weather conditions, or data from RSS feeds.

But don't go looking for Lock Screen Widgets in the Windows Phone Marketplace as you won't find it there. As we already mentioned, it is a homemade app, and you will need a rooted Windows Phone handset in order to install it. Additionally, keep in mind that the software is still in beta stage, so don't expect it to work flawlessly. If you want to try it out anyway, just hit the source link below and download it, and if you want to see Lock Screen Widgets in action, just check out the video that we have embedded below.

If they make this a norm for Windows phone, we wouldn't need a "Smoked by WP" challenge to know we've been smoked by a Windows Phone

Wow, making WP more and more tempting with cool stuff like this. This is how competition should be, not sueing each other

I love Android too, but this is actually really cool. If Microsoft were to implement this type of customization from the get go this will indeed boost WP's charm & get more people to the Windows Phone bandwagon.

People like this make a difference & I am actually happy & refreshed to see that WP is getting that underground group who is making the WP platform even more enjoyable.

Like JSern said "HIRE HIM MICROSOFT!"
