After most of the major players in the industry came out of their hi-tech labs this month to announce their newest creations, it is now HTC's turn to surprise us with something wonderful. The company is holding an event in NYC today, where it is expected to unveil its first Windows Phone 8 devices. 8X, 8S and 8V, anyone? Well, we guess we'll see in about an hour!

You can count on us to keep you updated with all the new announcements that are going to happen, so stay tuned for our liveblog and additional coverage, which is going to come as the event unfolds.

HTC will begin its presentation at: 11AM ET | 10AM CT | 8AM PT | 5PM CET

10:38Beats audio is coming to a windows phone for the first time ever. More power being pumped to the 3.5mm jack. More treble tool,
10:38Essentially, you'll be able to snap photos with the front camera and still be pleasing.
10:37They outfitted the handset with a 2.1-megapixel front facing camera and f2.1 lens.
10:36The 8s features the same camera module and F2.0 lens.
10:36Now we're going into the camera aspect.

10:32The lower edge of the 8S is dipped in a slightly off color from the rest of the body.
10:32Actually, the two phones share the same design DNA. With the 8s being smaller and have a playful feeling.
10:31Gorilla glass wraps all four sides.
10:31The 8x sports a unibody construction with no bumps...event the physical buttons are flush.

10:25Steve is still talking big about windows phone and windows 8....how it's going to be a big year for them.
10:25(null) twitpic.com/awb274
10:25They're simplifying the name of these phones...to make it simple of course.
10:23The 8x is a hero product Annan iconic design. Incredible camera and killer sound!
10:23We're seeing the handsets available in blue, red, yellow, and black.
10:23(null) twitpic.com/awb1ii
10:22Looks like the 8X is the bigger brother between the two.

10:21Lots of new colors for this phone
10:21Definitely seeing the Beats logo

All evidence until now points to Windows Phone, and since the 5" device is expected to run on Android, I would say no. But who knows, maybe HTC is going to have a surprise for us!
