Aside from the not-so-flagship specs (1GB RAM), buyers in the west are hesitant to get one for "security" reasons.

because the US government specifically mentioned huawei as one of the tech suppliers they suspect of being engaged in espionage work.

Hilariously the very government accusing Huawei is the one reading your e-mail, watching your video chat, checking your data and listening to your voice call, how about that dude, how about that? :D

realistically speaking, i'd rather be watched than be deliberately censored by my government. go to china and experience the best of internet and media freedom if that's what you like. enjoy tainted products and make the most of the blessings of being raised with counterfeits.

just a matter of choice.

oh my forefathers were chinese and they left their homeland for some better place.

Yet still many chinese, including my grandparents choose to live there, just because yours did doesn't make any other place better for over a 100 million other folks, what with gun crime and stabbings a common occurrence in most, if not all democratic places. Let's not turn this into a syria/political like discussion.

Never seen the 1gb version every. You should get educated. Even if it exists it has to be cheaper than the 2GB version. The 2GB is excellent value for money costing almost half of any phone that matches its specs.

Lmao most average consumers don't even know about these so called "security concerns". The basic smartphone user don't spend time on sites like this. Get from under your rock. Besides Huawei has a phone for Metro PCS that has beem selling like hotcakes. You don't see those people worrying about being spied on. To be honest anyone who worries about that only worry for a min then go on about their lives. You seem to be one of those people who obsess over it but still use the same tech LMAO!

Ascend Mate has 2GB ram. I own one a quad core 1.5 ghz processor a 16 core graphic processor, gorilla glass that does not scratch and ............wait for it...........a scratch proof back. Some new age rubberized material than never gets scratches.
The phone only has some issues with the UI and the home brewed CPU and GPU that tends not to work well with major games but they keep releasing fixes

I want to contact Huwaie and give them some ideas for ascend mate 2. They have hit the nail with this one and I just want to drive it in with 2.
4000 mah battery is the best lasts one day easily and 2 days most of the times.

looks like the latter half of the year is the time for introducing the slimmest phone bezels. sony, unfortunately, is not interested to follow suit.

Meizu MX3 is also supposed to have a very thin bezel measuring only little more than a mm, I'm quite disappointed with how the note 3's turned out, more bezel than ever. the black prototype front fascia looked better than the crappy white version.

Thinnest bezels I've seen so far.

Had Sony done something like this with their ultra, it may had a chance on the market
