Lenovo releases the monstrous Vibe Z2 Pro in India
Lenovo's latest flagship – the Vibe Z2 Pro – has been launched in India for the flagship-appropriate price of ~$535 (₹ 32,999).

For the niche market of phablet lovers and powerusers, the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is a well known up-and-comer. Officially announced back in August, this 6"-screened monster of a smartphone boasts flagship specs – a Snapdragon 801, 3 gigs of RAM, QHD display with 490 PPI; the hardware is powered by a massive 4,000 mAh battery, and all of this is enclosed in a full-metal body that is just 0.3" (7.7mm) thick. Its camera has a 16 MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor with OIS that seems to take quite the impressive photos (check out some samples here). Its high specs, huge screen, and thin bezels secured the Vibe Z2 Pro its rightful place in our Monsters from Asia column.

Unfortunately, it is unknown what other markets, besides India, the phone is supposed to hit. So far, Lenovo only said “coming in September”. The phone has dual SIM capability, which does hint that it may be targeting the eastern hemisphere only, but that's mere speculation. We guess there's nothing else to do, but wait and see.

Are you impressed by this monster? Would you prefer it to the Note 4, if it were available in the western markets?
