Lenovo might not be the first name to pop into your mind when you think about smartphones, but you’d better think again…

Of course, and the reason why most chinese refuse huawei and zte is because they are government linked. In order to save their money as a taxpayer, they will rather support the independent company like Lenovo
BTW, That picture, such a nice looking phone LOL, I want it

all large chinese companies are partly owned by the government. if not partly owned, they have debt to banks which are state owned so they still have to follow what the government say.

Let's hope so. Like this we the user will benefit the most. More choices. And yes I will buy any brand as long as it compete and well made. I still think my next phone after my galaxy note 2 will be samsung galaxy note 3. I doubt they can catch up with sammy when it comes to phablet.

They could easily dominate the mid range category in Asia. Thier mid range phones are rather impressivly speced given their pricing is as almost as cheap as many low end big name OEM phones. Best example is the Lenovo P700i which only sells at a mere $267 if converted to current exchange rate.

What is the name of that flip phone? So sexy please bring it to indonesia. I'm so tired of today's phone with the same concept.

Isn't that more or less exactly RIM's response to Apple circa 2007? Simplistic, childish, fanboyish denial worked out great for them, didn't it?

they're phone is actually good! i think better than what ZTE and Huawei can offer! but they are still using samsung's chips... they use exynos chips on their flagship (same with s3) but so much cheaper..so i think samsung is still not defeated....coz most of the phones uses samsung's technology!

Most Chinese products are cheap and they could deliver the functionalities pretty well. But there is always questions about quality, when it is unbranded. You could easily spot the flaws when you own one.
Another note, do you want to buy phones from companies that support child labours and poor working conditions and low wages? When you are holding such products you are encouraging their misdeeds to continue the exploitation.
Or do you buy from companies who are socially responsible throughout the entire production process, delivering not only designs, quality, but environmentally friendly products?
