is 2Gb Ram a big difference on tablets?

Should I get the Transformer Prime this december or wait for this unknown product?

Honestly, you won't be able to detect a difference in 1 or 2GB of RAM during normal use. Additional RAM will help future proof the tablet and extend its life. Future programs like a real Photoshop app might need more RAM to function smoothly. The same is true with future games.

Should you wait for this? Why not wait and see what reviews say? Assuming it really will be out by the end of the year. Make a decision close to Xmas, or ask for the Asus as a gift but ask for the receipt as well, just in case. This Lenovo Tab is a rumor, but a juicy one!

i think the only part of it that is rumor is the ram, since the pix show the finger scanner. either way, its just bringing more name brand competition from computer parts makers. I guess watching Asus and samsung (both computer makers) take the bulk of the non ipad tablet market with just 1 good device is tempting enough for others to throw their hats in the ring. This is good for all of us :)
Better quality + more competition = lower prices. :)

give me light, powerful, and future resistant and im interested.

more ram doesnt make that much of a battery difference. New RAM technology , if it uses it, is generally lower power consumption anyways.

I was reading the as advances in DDR 3 is power consumption while more bandwidth alowed. I would not be surprised to see the same battery drain as today's tablets. Especially if the software actually uses it.

I don't like flaps like the one in this that cover the USB port. They're so wriggly and pull-off-able. I prefer sliding ones like those found on Samsung's Galaxy line. They don't jut out at any time and movement is much more sturdy and rigid, rather than having to pull out a floppy... wad.
