Not good news for Intel. Lenovo ditching atom processor as well. Hopefully Intel can pull rabbit out of hat and save itself in mobile market

"Looks like a pretty generic design," I thought to myself.

I agree it almost looks like the Droid Bionic

I don't mind that at all, it does have a appeal to it, almost masculine.

I feel as though after this "cycle" of smartphones, sales from all OEM's might start declining... Think: with these processors rolling out, I personally, after purchasing a phone (LG G2 in this case) won't see smartphones appeal to me as much because they'll be so stinking fast any faster would just be unnecessary. The screen norm, one could say IS 1080p, software wouldn't need to get any better because it functions so well, once more, they are FAST, so really what I guess I'm trying to say is, we might be approaching a hump. That point where a smartphone is everything we need it to be. The mark where you no longer need to upgrade your hardware after 2 years because you really don't need to; everything works fine. Disregard all tech-junkies that buy stuff because they want to. But what about the average consumer? What is now happening to the iPhone 5 might start happening to that monster Samsung and HTC and LG and Sony etc. etc.
Or I'm just drunk...

You have a good point, but personally speaking I already have a phone which is everything I need it to be....and that's the Lumia 925.

well people want their tablets to be as powerful and capable as their computers and people want their phones to be as powerful as their tablets.
So really, until my phone keeps pace with mac pro, I wont be satisfied.
cause, come on, my note 2 is a unbelievably fast and capable compared to my OG Droid, an when I had my OG droid i was convinced THAT was all I'd ever need form a smart phone.
Sorry to rant, because I can totally see where you guys are coming from. But I think we're just getting started.
smartphone design however i think has reached its peak. haha

Am I being a bit fussy here, but what is the point in this article if China is going to be the only place which will ever see this phone?
