40 phones thats strange as all the other oems are scalling back on pushing out phones. what os will they have on them android, windows etc.

There are going to be variations of the same model based on country and carrier so it is possible for them to put out 40 different phones without actually putting out 40 different models.

GS2 has international, Tmobile, Sprint and AT&T models (4 right there). 10 phones with 4 variations is a possibility.

That being said they need to focus on a few models within the mid to high end space. Keep the Android experience and vanilla as possible or offer a dual boot option with their own skin and 100% vanilla.
