It's a promo the rebate forms r never that short of a time frame. Idiots. One time deal prolly just to help with none iphoners to sway them in.

either way seems pretty rough for the dealers that need those mail-ins to either turn a profit or not lose $$ on a device to b competitive

Verizon subsidizes those rebates for dealers so everyone wins

Verizon doesn't subsidize me as a dealer when a rebate gets pulled. But my wholesale prices *usually* take a nosedive when stuff like this changes, so it's not that bad. Dealers who were stupid enough to order 6 months worth of Droid Xs last week are screwed though.
