Leaked memo shows that on Sunday, AT&T's Buyer's Remorse Period will be cut to 14 days

Those buying a phone Sunday at AT&T might not have as long as they used to have to decide whether or not to keep the phone; a leaked memo meant for AT&T eyes only shows that the Buyer's Remorse Period is being cut from 30 days to 14 days...

Don't blame AT&T. Those shiny new phones cost them money to subsidize and offer them at the prices they offer, lots of money when someone returns it in the 30 day period.

Yes, we just had a meeting about it yesterday. Activation fees will not be refunded after 3 days. Verizon's been doing it for more than two years and T-Mobile has been doing it for as long as I can remember. It's pretty standard in the industry now. AT&T will also be launching the $65 gophone plan tomorrow. Unlimited talk text and 1gb data, unstackable so $.05/mb overage. You can't buy more like on the $50 plan with the $25 1 gb add on.

Yep, standard at Sprint as well from the 14 days to the non refundable activation fees after 3 days. Been well over a year.

In this case though, they did hold out the longest on this policy compared to the other carriers. Of course, they were the first to get rid of unlimited data so six of one, half dozen of the other I suppose.

AT&T is still honoring grandfathered unlimited data plans unlike Verizon though, which is forcing all their customers onto the shared data plans on their next upgrades.

exactly, we aren't forcing anybody to move to anything.. now only if the customers can understand that unlimited and any other current plans other than mobile share isn't compatable with facetime over cell data..

Verizon isn't forcing anyone onto shared data plans...its an option. Customers don't have to share data they can have their own...also 90% of the accounts you look at that gripe about losing unlimited data average 500MB - 1.7GB over a good period of time...so its not a big deal. eventually unlimited data for everyone is going away...grandfathered or not. its not economical for business, with the exception of prepaid services like Boost, Virgin Mobile, Straight Talk...etc.

yeah we did go up on the unlim first.. Though nothing is gonna be unlimited for long when coming to data, hell I didn't even think my garbage landline had a cap until they sent me a nice letter stating i was near 250GB usage and if i went over i would be charged overage -_-
