Leaked manual confirms interchangeable Sony lens for iOS and Android

Earlier this week, we showed you leaked pictures that revealed a pair of interchangeable smartphone lens that connect via a magnet to an Apple iPhone or Android handset. On Friday, images from a manual for the lens were revealed and confirmed that there are two such lens in the work. One is the DSC-QX100, which features a 20.2MP sensor, and an f/1.8 Carl Zeiss lens with 3.6x zoom. It includes parts from the Sony RX100M II camera.

The other lens is a lower end model called the DSC-QX10, with components taken from the Sony WX150 shooter. This lens has an 18-megapixel CMOS sensor and an f/3.5–3.9 lens.

Both the DSC-QX100 and the DSC-QX10 come with a power button, microphone and a display panel. The latter includes a battery life indicator and one for a microSD card. Other features include a tripod mount, dedicated shutter button, a zoom lever and a multifunctional jack (a jack of all trades?). The DSC-QX100 adds a ring control.

We expect to see the lens revealed at the same event on September 4th in Berlin that will introduce the Sony i1 Honami.
