Leaked images show OnePlus 2 front panel, confirm its smaller size when compared to the OnePlus One

With the OnePlus 2 expected to be unveiled next Monday as the main feature of a VR spectacular, it is not surprising to see more leaks related to the device as we get closer to July 27th. Today, the front panel of the handset has allegedly surfaced. The images come from a Weibo account of a tipster who had earlier passed along some other information related to the eagerly awaited handset.

With a cutout for a oval shaped home button, that is probably going to be where the fingerprint sensor will be located. OnePlus has already teased the inclusion of the security feature, and OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has already made it known that he does not like rear mounted fingerprint scanners.

Another leaked image from the same source appears to show a plaster build of the front of the phone. But more important are the numbers found on the side. They apparently show that the dimensions of the phone will be 148.6mm x 71.7mm. That would confirm that the sequel will be smaller than the OnePlus One, which measures 152.9mm x 75.9mm x 8.9 mm.

We recommend that you take these images with a grain of salt. While Weibo can be a great source of leaks, it also is a bit like the wild, wild, West.
