Leaked Verizon papers confirm May 11th launch for Samsung Alias 2 at $79.99
This article contains unofficial information.
What sets the Alias 2 apart from other phones is the keyboard that features E-ink technology. In portrait mode, the keypad is arranged to make phone calls; in landscape, it becomes a QWERTY keyboard for email and texting. The Alias 2 is also equipped with a 2.6 inch display that will allow you to see the pictures you take with the 2MP camera which doubles as a camcorder for shooting videos. The mobile web is supported as is email, IM, chat and VZ Navigator. Along with the latter service, Visual Voice Mail can be added for a monthly fee.
We have heard from our source inside Verizon that the Samsung Alias 2 is an impressive device that should be a big seller for the carrier. From what we've seen, that looks to be a very strong possibility.

I wonder if the VZW employees who get off on leaking this information realize that they are actually hurting the company which pays their nice salary/commission?

It's not really "leaking the information" when Samsung accidently had it up on there website on where to buy for almost 3 days with all the info on it directing people to a Verizon Wireless store. My cousin works at VZW and said if it's in there system/intranet thing then they can talk about it because that usually means it's going to be out in about a week or two. So if you want to blame anyone... Blame samsung that actually put up the phone saying it's available about 2-3 weeks ago.

sharing info is one thing, but leaking internal paperwork that is meant for VZW eyes only is a clear breach of VZW rules. Those pix above could lead to someone getting fired if it was ever traced back to them......

Id be suprised, the employee would have to be incredibly careless.

This employee is completely in the wrong releasing confidential company info. Verizon did not make this info public for marketing reasons. By releasing this info this gives the competitor an opportunity to counter this move and it may be great for the consumer but it's really bad for the company.

the employee who leaked that will be terminated, for releasing internal documents. I have seen it happen before on other things and really is it worth losing you job and possibly legal action again you for being the cool person on these types of sites?
