I was really hoping to see the Epic 2 as the Samsung Galaxy S2 with a slideout keyboard.

what if it had a super amoled plus display, global capabilities, and actually the dual core expynos? omg, that would be the best phone ever, and kick droid's ass over and over again

But it doesn't. They are saving that for the SGS2 devices for each carrier. It looks like The Epic 2 will be one of the "mid ranged" phones.

thats a dissapointment, really. why would the basically rerelease the same phone with a bigger camera and and overclock. granted and overclocked hummingbird runs about the same as a dual core snapdragon, but thats not the point.
i hope thats a misprint and its really the 1.2 exynos or at least a 1.2 OMAP.

Hmm... can you tell me what on earth is this article doing listed under new news for the GS2? There is clearly nothing within this article that gives anyone anything solid about the GS2. This was clearly a ploy just to tease the already frustrated American customers that have been trying to wait patiently as everyone else around the globe has been enjoying this phone for quite some time now. Seriously we have waited long enough!! The way things are going I am starting to give up hope of this phone and I am starting to look at other options. Besides by the time the GS2 does get released it will be obsolete within a few months seeing how Samsung already has the GS3 due to be released a little after the new year. Oh and who knows what Apple's new device with hold. The competition is heating up!! If Samsung doesn't release that damn phone soon, they won't be holding any titles for very ling that's for sure. :)

Until there is more info on what device is what and the specs of them all, why get excited. The Epic 2 is starting to look a lot like the Droid X2 on Verizon- good upgrade from other devices like a feature phone, not from the original Epic.

Sprint will have 1 Blackberry, 1 W7 device, and all the rest will be Droid. I like Droid, but some choices would be nice. Maybe next upgrade....

Doesn't Q3 include July? (July/Aug/Sept). If so, what happened to the supposed July release of the Motorola Photon 4G???!!!

I picked up the EVO 3D yesterday and it is amazing. The phones coming out will be nice, but why wait, go ahead and get the EVO 3D now. If you live in a market with 4g, it's almost to the point of being redonkulously fast to download and install apps. (2-4 seconds)

My friend picked up an Evo 3D on Friday, Sense 3.0 is very polished and pretty! And it's not a RAM hog like the rumor's been going around on XDA. His phone has around 800-850mb free. And you really can uninstall the bloatware w/o rooting.

I think the custom ROMs w/Sense 3.0 on XDA were bloated cuz they had to be hacked to run Sense 3.0.
