LeEco's two U.S.-bound smartphones leak, high specs and aggressive prices in tow

Ahead of its October 19 media event, U.S.-bound Chinese electronics and media brand LeEco has accidentally leaked its upcoming product line-up for the U.S. market on its online retail outlet LeMall. The product webpages have since been removed, but not before the Android Police grabbed screenshots showing pages for two smartphones which LeEco will be introducing to the U.S. These are the Le Max 2 and Le S3.

The Le Max 2 is a high-end model with highlights such as a 5.7-inch Quad-HD resolution screen, a 21MP camera, a fingerprint scanner, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor, up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. Available in Grey and Gold, the prices start at a competitive $349, with a $60 discount available through December 2016.

The Le S3 is a more modest offering with a Snapdragon 652 chipset, a 5.5-inch, 1080p resolution screen, a 16MP rear camera, a fingerprint scanner, and a 3000mAh battery. The final price for it appears to be $299, with a discount through December 2016 rendering it $169.

Of course, it's possible that these prices are merely placeholder values, although we wouldn't expect them to be significantly different at launch. The smartphones are also notable for having no 3.5mm jacks, though they are most likely to ship with bundled USB Type-C to 3.5mm jack adapters.

So, do you believe LeEco's smartphones have a chance at disrupting the U.S. market? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
