Latest iPhone update available for download
Here we go again with yet another update available for the iPhone. The 2.2.1 update is the first for the new year and does not include any major new functionality. Apple’s documentation states improved general stability of Safari and fixed issues where some images saved from Mail do not display correctly in the Camera Roll. Users will be disappointed to not see a copy/paste feature or picture messaging support. Still, go download the update and let us know your experience.

should we even be comparing the storm to the iphone? i mean i metioned the instinct the dare the g1 the vu the omnia the enternity the incite... all these phone are touch screen phone... the storm is a click screen phone wtf up with that? and 1 more thing i would like to add.... all these so called iphone killers...(all the phone above) have came out and people claim them to be the next iphone killer but like always 3-6 months down the road they fade away then some other phone comes out and challenge the iphone just to get knocked the fuck out.....

regarding the storm...its a new phone, release before it was supposed to. before they got all the bugs outs. the iphone has been around for how long...and still working out the bugs?! all good phones are gonna have some issues...all smartphones continue to evolve, and so does the software updates. we all demand so much more of our phones now a days. its incridible what these devices can do! I am still an IPHONE hater, and proud!

The Bold was not released "Before" it was supposed to be. There was a solid release date, and it wasn't met with a good working device (at the time). Updates are imperative now... did you not read the article quoting what the co-CEO of RIM said about releasing phones with bugs??? By the way, what on earth would a company be thinking releasing a phone with a crap load of bugs in it? Wouldn't you want to test all that? I am in no way saying the iPhone was perfect when release, or is perfect now, but stop with the asinine comments... you know damn well that RIM, 6 months down the road, will be releasing updates for the Storm. If that does not happen, you can shove it right back in my face, but until then, stop with the iPhone hating... ridiculous.

what do i have to say? your a izombie retard. really. thats it. your post adds nothing but another reason to hate izombies. other than that... how many updates until they give the phone normal phone stuff like mms texts, record a video, cut n paste (which every other "smart phone" can do), maybe a real warranty and insurance.. or u you know.. a good antenna to pick up that crappy ATT signal.

The updated features you mentioned will not happen on the 3G. They will add copy/paste and either mms or video record to the "new" iphone so they can get another $199 and a new two year out of all the sheep that will buy anything with a picture of a fruit. Same people that bought the 3g for 3g which and GPS and we have all seen how well those two have done. Most turn 3g off becasue it runs down the battery and wi-fi is much more reliable anyways (which the original had anyways) and the GPS which still is not worth a damn sicne there are no approved GPS apps yet....but they got there money since the fools fell for it and they will fall for it again.

IMO the people who truly love this phone have it jailbroken so they can have many features not allowed by the locked version. I agree, they should include simple things like MMS etc., but they will do what they want. Luckily there is a band of people out there who hack into every new firmware they update to and allow you to COMPLETELY customize the phone. I'm talking down to the color of the signal bars, change the edge icon to different pics, different backgrounds and icons EVERYTHING. You can't fully appreciate the iPhone and all the things you can do with it out of the box. If you've never seen all the things you can do you should really check it out. Cydia is the source for all the changes, and you have no clue the extensive capabilities of this phone until it's jailbroken. I wasn't sold on the phone until I found out these things so I can see where everyone is coming from, just wish they would take the time to see what it can truly do.
